GNG
Broad nose Rhinoplasty
Broad nasal Rhinoplasty and Decongestion surgery are conducted
at the same time for higher degree of completion
What is GNG Broad Nose Rhinoplasty?
-
A Broad nose refers to a nose with a wide width that gives impression of a flat and stubby nose. To correct this, the width of the nasal bone must be narrowed which calls for an osteotomy. However, if the nasal bridge is narrowed down too much, nasal congestion may occur.
GNG Broad Nose Rhinoplasty is proceeded only after precise examinations to identify the width of air passage and the surgery is performed only by experienced ENT specialists with vast knowledge in anatomy structure.

Nasal bone is held together closer to create a higher nose line after osteotomy
Advantage of GNG Broad Nose Rhinoplasty
Point 1 Osteotomy to correct a broad nasal bone
-
If the fundamental reason of a broad nose is ignored and an implant is simply inserted into the nasal bridge, the width of the nasal bone and implant will not be in sync and cause a dent or make the inserted implant look very obvious, resulting in an unnatural looking nose.
GNG Broad Nose Rhinoplasty proceeds with an osteotomy to make a natural and beautiful nose line. If necessary, an alar reduction, fastening of cartilage on the nasal tip, and an implant insertion will be performed for the perfect nose line.
-
If implant is inserted without solving the fundamental problem
implant is exposed and
makes it obvious you had surgeryIf width of nasal bone is narrowed down by osteotomy
Shows definite effect and
natural ideal nose line is complete
Why GNG Osteotomy?
GNG Osteotomy Surgery Method
There are two methods to perform an osteotomy and each method has its pros and cons.
At GNG, we enhance the pros and reduce the cons by first making a wide excision of the nasal bone to improve the functional aspect of the nose.
Decongestion surgery is also performed to improve the nasal air passage thus completing the surgery with a higher degree of completion.
General Rhinoplasty for Broad Nose Rhinoplasty and Osteotomy
One method is selected out of the two below when an osteotomy in general is performed
-
If excision area is wide
Broad nose is narrowed but there is
a high chance of nasal congestion
due to a narrow air passage.Air passage is narrowed but
with a high chance of nasal congestion occurrence -
If excision area is narrow
Little chance of nasal congestion occurring,
But the correction of a wide nose is inadequateCorrection of a wide nose is inadequate

Additional procedures are performed at the same time
-
01
Broad alar is excised
If alar is broad,
excision is made and sutured. -
02
Fasten blunt alar to nasal tip cartilage
Blue alar cartilage will be firmly tied up with extracted septal cartilage and pulled up together.
-
03
Insert implant to correct height
If height needs to be increased,
implant is inserted after osteotomy
Point 2
Correct septum deviation at the same time
to achieve the greatest effect.
There is a limit in reducing the width of the nasal bridge via an osteotomy if you have septum deviation.
At GNG, we first correct the deviated septum and then perform an osteotomy to deliver more satisfying results.
Do you wish to correct septum deviation
and also improve the aesthetics of the nasal bridge and tip via an osteotomy?
Point 3 Inner/outer structure of the nose is considered before surgery plan
Generally it is perceived that if your outer nose structure is broad, so will the inner nose structure.
This, however, isn’t true. The inner nose has a different structure from the outer structure and therefore the appearance of your nose doesn’t correlate to the inner structure of the nose.
For this reason, we carry out examinations prior to surgery to get a good grasp of the nose’s inner structure first and then construct a surgery plan for best results.
-
1. Inner/outer nose structure is analyzed using 3D-CT scan

GNG Thorough Physical Examination
For our patient’s safety and an accurate surgery plan, we perform precise body examinations including nasal endoscopy, X-rays, and 3D CT Scans.

Usage of the HEPA filter ventilation system in all operation rooms.
What is a HEPA filter ventilated operation room?
The air outside the operating room is filtered cleanly by the HEPA filter and circulated inside.
Because air is circulated by providing clean air through a positive pressure system, you don’t need to worry about infection caused by air pollution thus having surgery with confidence.
Also, there is an air-shower system that shakes off contaminated dust before entering the operating room. We strive to do our best in preventing infection through sterilization and thorough infection control of all medical devices.
Be rest assured! GNG’s operation rooms are meticulously clean.
