What is GNG Zygoma Reduction?
If your side or 45 degrees angle of cheekbones are protruded, both are excised and at the same time and rotated inward to reduce the cheekbones, while giving more volumes to front to give youthful appearance. During the reduction process, movement of masseter is predicted before the bones are fastened for more reduction.

The reason why patients experience dented or saggy cheeks, or even disunion of zygomatic arch is mostly due to incorrect attachment of cheekbones during the surgery. Masseter is a strong muscle that is located between upper cheekbones and bottom of the jaw. When we bite or clench our teeth, the muscle contraction pulls down our cheekbones.
