GNG
Zygoma Reduction

Definite reduction of cheekbones from the front, 45 degrees, and side angles of the face. Preventing against side effects by fastening the masseter based on prediction of its movement.

What is GNG Zygoma Reduction?

If viewing from the side or 45 degree angle the cheekbones seem protruded, both are excised and at the same time and rotated inward to reduce the cheekbones, while giving more volume in the front to give a more youthful appearance. During the reduction process, movement of the masseter is predicted before the bones are fastened for more reduction.

Surgery method

  • Through incisions in the mouth, part of the front cheekbones are incised in an L shape.

Part of the cheekbones are removed after the incision stage is complete.

  • Incised and separated cheekbones are rotated inward and repositioned.

Rough surface of the bone is smoothened and firmly fastened using a metal plate.

Advantage of GNG Zygoma Reduction

Point 1 Maximum reduction of cheekbones
from the front/45 degree angle/side view of the face

You can see a definite reduction of the cheekbones in every angle since the front, side and 45 degree angle of facial views are considered prior to surgery. During the fastening step of the cheekbones, the muscle is pulled upwards so your skin will naturally get firmer and give a lifting effect.

Point 2 Movement of the masseter is predicted and firmly attached
so side effects such as dented/saggy skin
and bone disunion of the zygomatic arch are almost non existent.

  • The reason why patients experience dented or saggy cheeks, or even disunion of the zygomatic arch is mostly due to an incorrect attachment of the cheekbones during surgery. The masseter is a strong muscle that is located between upper cheekbones and bottom of the jaw. When we bite or clench our teeth, the muscle contraction pulls down our cheekbones.

At GNG, we predict the movement of masseter before the cheekbones are strongly attached, and this significantly reduces side effects which cause cheekbones to move sideways or downward.

Point 3 Surgery plan is made based on 3D analysis that considers face asymmetry

As cheekbones look different for everyone, the shape and thickness of cheekbones as well as the condition of the patient’s skin must be considered prior to surgery. We therefore conduct 3D analysis that considers front, 45 degrees, and side view of the facial angle to create a beautiful face line.

3-dimensional analysis is performed using X-ray and 3D CT scans to analyze the shape and thickness of the bone and the condition of the skin

  • Get your surgery with reassurance!

Usage of the HEPA filter ventilation system in all operation rooms.

What is a HEPA filter ventilated operation room?

The air outside the operating room is filtered cleanly by the HEPA filter and circulated inside.

Because air is circulated by providing clean air through a positive pressure system, you don’t need to worry about infection caused by air pollution thus having surgery with confidence.

Also, there is an air-shower system that shakes off contaminated dust before entering the operating room. We strive to do our best in preventing infection through sterilization and thorough infection control of all medical devices.

Be rest assured! GNG’s operation rooms are meticulously clean.
